As some of you may or may not know, on top of all things creative, I spend a good chunk of my week helping raise little ones as a nanny. One of the best perks is when these Mammas ask me to create little pieces for them...whether it's birthday party decor or new nursery room wall art! This framed Shakespeare quote is one of the few bits I made for Miss Maisy's Nursery. Not only is this one of my favorite quotes, but being that this was the first baby girl of their family, we knew that if she were to be anything like her big brothers this quote would be ever. so. fitting. for her too.
Whenever I do nursery room wall art, I tend to create pieces in glassless frames. It may just be a weird keep-the-babies-safe paranoia of mine, but I'd rather just not be responsible for glass related disasters. I got this adorable open Oval Scatter Frame from Hobby Lobby, which conveniently comes sans glass. This was also the first time I tried the Silhouette Print & Cut feature on a 12 x 12 sheet since getting my wide-format printer. Love love love. Because these frames are solely the frame (and I forgot to buy the backing), I cut a few extra cardstock ovals out to stabilize and secure the printed quote. I admit that it took a bit of trial and error to get the oval size to be correct, but once I did... it worked like a charm!
