Friends! Hi! We kicked off this week with the first project of my THIRD year on the Silhouette Design team over on the Silhouette blog. So, why not end the week with a little throwback over here on my own? Over the years, thanks to the magic of their machinery and products, I have been able to create some incredible projects. Today, I'll be highlighting a few of my favorites– some from past design team posts, and others from my design-life. So, sit back, relax, and get ready to start pinning these projects to your Pinterest boards!
1. NURSERY FAUX WALLPAPER
I mean, c'mon! This project has got to be hands-down one of the projects I'm most proud of. Created for the arrival of baby Penelope, I cut and hand placed over 600 individual vinyl decals to create this Gold Metallic Faux Wallpaper look. Bonus in life for also having a brilliant woodcraft friends that can cut you a quick P in the typeface of your choice from a piece of reclaimed wood. So much love for the final result!
STAMPED SPOONS
Ah, the magic of the Silhouette Mint™. When Silhouette mails you a little pint-sized stamp producer, you start stamping all the things. All of them. Even the handles of wooden spoons, because that's how magic works. This project was a huge hit when it went live, as it was my first time testing new surfaces to stamp. I've seen it reproduced a few times since, and also revisited the idea myself recently in my "Ways to Mint™-ify your Wedding" post that kicked off this week on the Silhouette America blog. NO-SEW FABRIC PARTY HATS
You know those ideas that come to you, but you have no idea how— big magic style? These No-Sew Fabric Garden Party hats featured on the Silhouette Blog in 2014 were that for me. Also, how cute is this fabric from Cloud9? All around adorable. The kicker- ZERO sewing! Cooooool.

STAMPED WRAPPING PAPER
This past winter after creating this hand stamped wrapping paper using my Silhouette Mint for a Silhouette blog post, I went crazy. Crazy as in, I could not. stop. stamping. I'm pretty sure every present I gifted for the holiday was wrapped with some variation or combination of these, and I don't regret it at all. In fact, I'll probably pull a similar move this year. Who's stoppin' me?
GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG
If you're a fan of Silhouette, then I'm sure you're already well-aware of free shapes. If you're not, let me fill you in. Every Tuesday, Silhouette America puts out a new Free Design of the Week. This weekly download can be found in the Silhouette Design Store and acquired for free. Whoop whoop! Being on the design team, we are often assigned these shapes to see what we can create with them. This gift card holder gift tag with sewn butterfly garland still stands at the top of the list of Free Design projects I've ever made.

TATTOO WOOD
This was another one of those, "How the heck did I think of this?" ideas. I've seen a trove of photo transfer tutorials on Pinterest and thought, "Hey! I wonder if Silhouette Tattoo Paper would stick to wood." And would ya look at that, it did! Wood is one of my most favored textures in life, photography and adventuring the city are a couple of my favorite past times. Putting those together in a way that can be displayed in our apartment— Yes yes YES.

BUTTERFLY MOBILE
Do you remember the first project you ever made with your Silhouette? I'm not talking the first cut, because let's be honest that was probably me cutting out my own name, but I mean the first project that actually grew wings. This butterfly mobile was the first of a lot for me— but mostly it was my first big Silhouette project success. This mobile, along with initial wall art I created welcomed Matilda into her new space about 5 years ago! Woah. Though I've learned a lot since making this bitty, it still hold a special spot and deserved to make this list.
NURSERY QUOTE PRINT AND CUT
Being a nanny means my projects for two categories has grown: child art and nurseries. When my nanny fam welcomed their third little bundle to this world in January of 2014, we all knew I'd be leaving my mark in baby girls' new room. This was also my first time ever doing a print and cut project on my then newly acquired wide-format printer. Considering it still hangs in her room 2 years later I think we can call it a success. Tip: Any time I do wall art for nurseries I use open frames so that glass is never a hazard! Safety first, people.
CHILD-ART MUG
Like I said, being a nanny means all kinds of kid-art. Let me give you a little background—as of today, I've been nannying for the same family for the past 5 years. That means, started with one and now there are three minions running my heart. This project holds a special place, because it was right after baby #2 showed up (my main man, Gus), and stole the only-child show away from big brother, Theo. This drawing was the first picture Theo (then age 3) drew of his baby brother, so being the number one nanny that I am, I turned that drawing into a stencil and that stencil into this adorable mug that they still use on the daily. Projects with sentiment are my jam.

Paper floral wedding bouquet
Some of my favorite projects have stemmed from friends asking me if I can/can't make whatever it is they need. I almost always say yes even if I've never attempted it before, because why not? So, when my friend Amanda came to me with the idea of doing paper floral bouquets for her and her bridesmaids for her wedding, I knew I wanted to take the challenge on. This was a first-try turned favorite project very quickly! Though, no match to the Bride's beauty, it was pretty awesome seeing these little blooms coming down the aisle too. Swoon.
And there we have it kids! Half a decade of Silhouette obsession in my veins, and so many more years to go! Now, what am I going to make next?
